Everton (postcode 3678) is a small settlement located 20 kilometres from the township of Wangaratta in northeast Victoria, along the Great Alpine Road. This is one of Australia's great touring routes, winding through the region and showcasing stunning alpine landscapes, heritage towns, and local food and wine between Wangaratta, Bairnsdale and the Gippsland Lakes.
At the 2006 census, Everton and the surrounding area had a population of 274. Attractions include the Murray to the Mountains bike trail, a sealed off-road bicycle path offering 200 kilometres of cycling along former railway tracks. There are wineries in the area and the Victorian High Country, with its many outdoor activities and rich touring experiences.
